The Local Government Board of the City Council of Benidorm has approved a new call for grants that the Department of Employment and Local Development launches annually to collaborate with the labor and operating expenses of business entities and/or entrepreneurs in Benidorm. A call for which the City Council will allocate a total of 56,000 euros, as announced by the councilor of the area, Mónica Gómez, who has indicated that applicant entities can apply for a maximum grant of 8,000 euros to be used for hiring personnel.

Through this call, «we want to help business entities maintain their staff, mainly administrative personnel, and thus continue to provide support services to companies operating in Benidorm or to those embarking on the creation of a new company,» highlighted the councilor.

As established in the call’s guidelines, non-profit business associations in Benidorm that have a stable, active, and publicly open establishment or premises with opening hours and that carry out activities to support entrepreneurs and companies in the city are eligible for these grants. Likewise, Mónica Gómez explained that the amount of the grant received by each entity will be used to cover the expenses of the association’s own staff hired to perform management and administrative functions in the requesting association, carried out between November 1, 2024, and October 31, 2025, as established in the guidelines.

As in previous years, applications must be processed electronically through the Electronic Headquarters (whose deadline will start the day after the guidelines are published in the Official Provincial Bulletin and will run until October 31, 2025).

Gómez stated, «we have always believed that employment is the best social policy that can be promoted and implemented.» Therefore, «within the lines of action of the Employment and Local Development Agency, employment promotion and support are priorities, either through direct actions or through grant calls like these, which provide support to business associations whose members, in turn, create jobs.»
