Alicante, June 5, 2026. Nearly 700,000 LED lights now illuminate the center of Alicante with the extraordinary lighting of the 2025 Hogueras, which was activated in the early hours of last Wednesday night. The Belleas del Foc, adult and infant, Adriana Vico and Valentina Tárraga, activated the device in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento two days before the Pregón that will be delivered this Friday by the Alicante designer and clothing designer Rubén Hernández. Mayor Luis Barcala explained that «this is the best lighting prologue for what we hope will be the best Hogueras in our history.» The mayor was accompanied by the councilors of Festivities and Infrastructures, Cristina Cutanda and Cristina García, respectively, and members of the Municipal Corporation.
The Belleas del Foc, adult and infant, Adriana Vico and Valentina Tárraga, along with their Ladies-in-Waiting, were responsible for activating the device so that the extraordinary lighting of the Hogueras could be appreciated not only in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, but also in the streets of Altamira and Jorge Juan, the Rambla de Méndez Núñez, and Alfonso El Sabio Avenue. This set of LED lights is distributed in more than 150 lighting elements including arches, decorative pieces, and spotlights, spread along the official Hogueras route.
The extraordinary lights of the Hogueras will be on until Saturday, June 14, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. From the 15th to the 24th, it will be extended until 5 a.m. At the end of the Hogueras, from June 25 to July 1, until 2 a.m.
Previous Activities
The activities leading up to the Hogueras resume tomorrow, Friday. Here are the events and schedules:
– 6:30 p.m.: Music for a Celebration, Plaza de España
– 7:00 p.m.: Tribute to the deceased Foguerer and Barraquer. Josep Amand Tomás will act as the host, Plaza de España
– 7:30 p.m.: Pregón Parade (Plaza de España-Plaza del Ayuntamiento)
– 9:00 p.m.: Hogueras Pregón. It will be delivered by the Alicante fashion designer, Rubén Hernández
– 11:00 p.m.: Pregón Party. Ocean Race area of the port of Alicante
– 12:00 a.m.: Fireworks display.
Saturday, June 7
– 7:00 p.m.: Ninot Parade (Plaza de los Luceros – Plaza del Ayuntamiento)
Sunday, June 8
