Once again, the five beaches and coves of Benidorm will proudly display the Qualitur flag, certifying the tourism excellence of the city’s sandy areas. Mayor Toni Pérez received this regional distinction today, granted by Turisme Comunitat Valenciana to beaches that meet high standards of quality, sustainability, and accessibility, from the Minister of Innovation, Industry, Commerce, and Tourism, Marián Cano.

During the official ceremony held in the neighboring Cala de Finestrat, Toni Pérez stated, «The Qualitur flag is one of the distinctions that many municipalities fight for every year,» and renewing it in 2025 «is just an incentive for us to strive for it again next year and, of course, comply with very demanding standards that bring great satisfaction to those who work on them every day – the City Council staff, concessionaires, etc. – as well as to our citizens and tourists who enjoy them.»

The Qualitur flag is awarded to beaches and coves that meet the environmental quality and service provision parameters outlined in the ISO 9001 and 14001 standards, «very demanding parameters and certifications that assess the quality and cleanliness of our waters and sand, as well as all the services provided on our beaches, once again becoming a benchmark for management and excellence,» emphasized the mayor.

Finally, Toni Pérez emphasized that «for Benidorm, the care and management of our beaches are our top priority, aware that this natural resource is also our main tourist attraction all year round.» Therefore, «the City Council makes a constant and sustained effort to ensure the best experience for users, whether residents, tourists, or visitors, keeping all services active throughout the year and constantly auditing the quality of our waters and sands because the goal is to offer the highest quality, and distinctions like Qualitur recognize that you have done things right and that this is the path to follow.»

In the coming days, the Qualitur flag will be raised on the beaches of Levante, Poniente, and Mal Pas, as well as in the coves of l’Almadrava and Ti Ximo, along with the other quality certifications obtained by the city’s beaches in 2025.
