Alicante launches a new edition of 50 free courses from Cerca – April to June 2025

Alicante, March 31, 2025. The City Council of Alicante has launched a new edition of the Free Training and Leisure Plan organized by the Educational Center for Consumer Resources of Alicante -Cerca- for the next quarter from April to June. The proposal also includes a wide range of activities from the ‘Cerca de los barrios’ program, with activities aimed at promoting learning and entertainment in the Municipal Community Centers for all audiences with specialized courses, talks, workshops, and visits.

The program starts this week with two talks, the first one on Tuesday about ‘What are we going to eat today? Healthy consumption, and on Wednesday, the conference given by the president of the Association of Restaurants of Alicante, Gabriela Córdoba, on ‘Flavor and evolution: Alicante’s dining scene at its best version’, at the Cerca facilities.

This week, there is also a talk at the Gastón Castelló Community Center about Property Communities to address people’s doubts or problems with the community. As well as a workshop on healthy breakfasts and snacks, held at the Playas Community Center on April 8, from 5 to 7 pm.

The Councilor for Consumption and Commerce, Lidia López, presented the plan emphasizing that «the initiative proposes a program of leisure and specialized courses that will also be taught this quarter in the Community Centers to bring them closer to the neighborhoods and at the Cerca.» The councilor invited participation, stating, «It is an opportunity to attend free talks and workshops designed to improve the quality of life of citizens.»

Interested individuals can now request their spot in any of the proposals in person at the Cerca facilities located at the Mercado Central, or by email at cerca@alicante.es, or by phone at 965145294.
