Families in Benidorm with children of school age who are entering the classrooms for the first time or continuing their education in one of the thirteen public schools and the private school in the city can now submit their enrollment applications starting from May 6th. This is the date set by the Department of Education to apply for spots in these publicly funded centers for the academic year 2024-2025. The application period will be open for a week and will extend until Wednesday, May 14th.
The Councilor for Education of the Benidorm City Council, Maite Moreno, has stated that, following the trend of recent years, «the enrollment application will be done electronically on the website provided by the Department of Education, adminova.gva.es, where all related processes can be completed.»
Moreno has specified that «as of today, there are 90 vacant spots in P2 in five schools in the city. Benidorm also has a total of 510 desks for P3 in Early Childhood Education. She also mentioned that the city continues to operate under a single district system, which eliminates geographical limitations and, therefore, proximity points based on the family or work address for assessment purposes.»
According to the schedule established by the Department, once the enrollment application deadline ends on May 14th, the provisional lists of accepted students in each center will be published on June 4th. Families will be notified via the email they provided during the application process. The provisional lists can be contested electronically until June 6th, and the final lists will be published on June 18th. From that day until the end of the month, families who prefer to enroll online can do so, while those who prefer in-person enrollment have until July 2nd. The 3rd and 4th of July are reserved for enrollment for those on the waiting list.
Processing
To apply for enrollment in public schools for Early Childhood and Primary Education, families must access adminova.gva.es. The only requirement is to have a DNI/NIE. The first step is to generate the admission key, one for each child. Subsequently, the applicant will receive the identifier and password for each application via email, based on the number of children to be enrolled. It is essential to keep the access key to check the lists and file complaints.
2-Year-Old Infant Classrooms
The same schedule applies to families who want to enroll their children in the 2-year-old classrooms set up in public schools by the Department, a program reserved for children born in 2023. For the academic year 2025-2026, there are 90 spots available in CEIP Aitana, Vasco Núñez, Puig Campana, Mestre Gaspar López, and La Cala. Like the rest of the offerings, the 2-year-old classrooms are not restricted by zones but cover the entire municipal area.
In addition to these, there are spots available in P2 in the network of municipal nursery schools (Fontanelles, Les Caletes, and El Tossalet) and the Early Childhood Care Service (SAPI) Nanets.
Secondary Education and Baccalaureate
Finally, the Education Councilor has announced that the Department will initiate the process for applying for spots in Secondary Education and Baccalaureate on May 14th, which will also be done electronically.
Specifically, the application for spots can be done between May 15th and 23rd. The provisional lists of accepted students in ESO will be published on July 7th, and electronic complaints can be made from July 7th to 9th. The final list will be known on July 16th. The online enrollment will be from July 16th to 21st, and in-person enrollment from July 16th to 22nd. For Baccalaureate, the provisional lists of accepted students will be published on July 14th, and the final list on July 22nd. Online enrollment will be from July 22nd to 25th, and in-person enrollment from July 22nd to 28th.
