Starting on May 1st, the deadline to submit photos for the 5th edition of the photography contest El camp d’Elx, organized by BaiaJovens, in collaboration with the Department of Environment and the associations «PinoMar» from La Marina, ACD La Hoya, ADR (Associciació per al Desenvolupament Rural), Matola.es, and local businesses, begins.
In this edition, the focus will be on «manor houses,» unique centuries-old constructions in the camp d’Elx. This initiative aims to showcase the architectural and cultural heritage that is so characteristic of our region, advocating for its protection and conservation.
These historical bourgeois-style houses, some with attached towers, built between the 17th century and the mid-20th century, are part of the traditional architectural landscape of the camp d’Elx.
