Construcción de carril ciclo-peatonal en CV-849 – Ayuntamiento de Elche

As explained by the provincial deputy, Juan de Dios Navarro, «with this intervention, we improve road safety by constructing a cycle-pedestrian route in this section to widen the platform and to provide continuity to the existing one on the same road that connects through the roundabout ‘Los Limoneros’ with the cycle-pedestrian lane of the CV-851. This project involves an investment of 767,800 euros and has a 9-month execution period.

Navarro also highlighted other actions such as the improvement of the intersection at San Francisco de Asís square in El Altet, as well as the rearrangement of the entrance to the roundabout from the CV-849 to achieve more suitable connections. For this purpose, horizontal and vertical signage will be placed, existing traffic lights will be updated, and the pedestrian crossing in the center of the park towards the Church will be removed and replaced with two pedestrian crossings at the corners of the adjacent blocks.
