The Local Government Board has approved the creation of a drafting committee for the Municipal Plan for Universal Accessibility in Elche. The Disability Councilor, María Bonmatí, has pointed out that the law passed by the Valencian Government last December requires the development of an ambitious plan and «this City Council is committed to drafting it.»
Bonmatí has stated that, in this area, «things are being done well in Elche, but there is still room for improvement» and hence the importance of launching this technical committee with the presence of different municipal departments aiming for transversality, in addition to social entities with technical profiles based on each type of disability.
