Escuela de Junio para familias antes de la ‘Escuela de Verano’

The Federation of Associations of Mothers and Fathers of Students, FAMPA Marina Baixa, in collaboration with the Department of Education of the City Council, has organized the ‘June School’, an initiative aimed at children aged 3 to 12 years old, with the aim of promoting reconciliation and meeting the needs of many families in the area until the start of the ‘Summer School’ activities. The Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, has explained that «generally, many schools and reconciliation activities – both public and private – that are organized during the summer school holidays usually start from July 1, leaving the last days of June without any offer, when the school calendar has already ended.»

Therefore, «thinking of the families that need this resource for their children during these last days of the month, this ‘June School’ is launched, offering a space where they can carry out a wide variety of activities designed to entertain and educate, while facilitating family reconciliation.»

This ‘June School’ will take place from June 23 to 30 at the public Infant and Primary School Miguel Hernández. The regular school hours will be from 9 am to 2 pm, although there will be a ‘Morning’ service between 8 am and 9 am for families who start work early, at no additional cost. In addition, between 2 pm and 3 pm, there is also the option for children to eat the food they bring from home at the school facilities.

The price of this school will be 75 euros for families associated with the AMPA and 90 for those who are not associated. The registration deadline is open until June 10 through the link

Councilor Maite Moreno has recalled that «a few days ago we announced the offer of the ‘Afternoon School’ during the month of June; today we present another initiative designed to support families such as this ‘June School’, and in the coming weeks we will announce the opening of registrations for the ‘Summer School'». In this sense, she has emphasized that «we offer numerous options to households to meet their needs during school holiday periods, with services provided by specialized monitors», also thanking FAMPA Marina Baixa for «their total collaboration with these activities that are so positive for both parents and students who participate.»
