According to Pablo Ruz, «this is the police station that Carrús needs and from today the response wait times between the Police and the neighborhood residents are reduced due to the speed, proximity, immediacy, and presence of agents in the area.»

«This police station will be the beginning of many good things for Carrús, this is the path that the municipal government must follow with this neighborhood, where more than 70,000 Illicitans live and is therefore the most important in terms of population,» said the mayor, who also recalled that the municipal government has invested 23 million euros in the neighborhood over the past two years.

On the other hand, the third deputy mayor, Aurora Rodil, has stated that «today marks a before and after in Carrús, a historic neighborhood, of hardworking people and the most populous in Elche». A neighborhood, she said, that «already has Local Police 24 hours a day, for whatever they need.»
