Yesterday afternoon, the orchestras of Pulso y Púa from ACR La Barqueta and Ars Nova from Crevillent took center stage at the concert of the XII Campaign of Musical Exchanges at the church of San Jaime. The event began at 9:00 PM and received great acceptance and applause from the numerous fans who gathered at the parish church, including several members of the local government.
The first part of the concert was performed by the band from Crevillent, under the direction of Iván Aznar López, with a program featuring ‘La cumparsita’ (G. H. Matos Rodríguez), ‘Diferencias sobre el canto del caballero’ (Antonio de Cabezón), ‘Romanza’ (Salvador Bacarisse), ‘Andante cantabile’ (P. Tschaikowsky), and ‘Concierto en re mayor para laud’ (A. Vivaldi).
La Barqueta’s rondalla took over the second part of the concert, led by José Antonio Pastor Ruiz, and performed pieces such as ‘The phantom of the opera’ (A. Lloyd Webber), ‘The sound of music’ (R Rodgers and O. Hammerstein), ‘El castillo ambulante’ (J Hisaishi), ‘Molinos de viento’ (Pablo Luna), and ‘La luna enamorá’ (A. Ortiz de Villajos).
Both rondallas jointly performed the last part of the concert, playing ‘Son & Silvia’ (Eric Clapton) and ‘Verbena y vainilla’ (José Antonio Esteban Lapeña), bringing an end to another successful event organized by various music federations and supported by the Department of Culture.
