Rescate de ciclista en Sierra Cortina, Finestrat por Bomberos de Alicante.

Effective firefighters from the Provincial Consortium of Alicante rescued a 39-year-old cyclist who had fallen approximately five meters in Sierra Cortina, in the Tapia – Umbría ravine area in Finestrat, as reported by the aforementioned organization and the Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU).

The Consortium received the call around 12:19 PM, and due to the terrain of the area, a rescue helicopter Alpha 01, the special rescue group GER, two various rescue vans FSV, two corporals, and four firefighters from the Benidorm station were dispatched to the location.

The firefighters immobilized the injured person by placing several splints on the leg and arm, and they stabilized him inside a special aerial rescue stretcher in preparation for a crane lifting maneuver.

Subsequently, he was airlifted to the helipad in Finestrat and transferred to a SAMU ambulance for urgent evacuation to the Marina Baixa Hospital. The operation concluded around 2:13 PM.
