The Alicante City&Beach Tourism Board’s website includes new sections such as «Alicante in three days,» an updated city agenda, and a focus on transparency and sustainability with the goal of reaching 2.2 million users this year.
Alicante, April 14, 2025. The Alicante City&Beach Tourism Board has revamped the website alicanteturismo.com to incorporate more information, make it more accessible, mobile-friendly, and available in seven languages after adding Chinese and Polish.
The Tourism Councillor, Ana Poquet, presented the new website on Monday as «a Tourism office open seven days a week, 24 hours a day, and a showcase of Alicante’s offerings.» The councillor emphasized that now «its use is easier, intuitive, and practical» and explained that it is designed so «visitors can start their journey from home and can plan it as well as consult the website upon arrival to continue obtaining information about places to visit and activities to do during their stay.»
The Tourism Board’s website includes new sections, improved design and interface, and particularly enhanced accessibility with new features to adjust font size and format, among other improvements. It also includes an updated city agenda and a commitment to transparency in all administrative and processing aspects of the tourism sector with more functionalities and online processing options.
Among the innovative sections, «Alicante in three days» stands out for tourists arriving for a weekend to have a guide with all the cultural, gastronomic, nature and beach, shopping, and iconic places «that cannot be missed.» Alongside this, visitors can consult the generic tabs of «what to do» and «what to see» with all the practical information about the city’s offerings, including accommodations and hospitality.
Sustainability and languages
In addition to accessibility, Poquet highlighted the focus on sustainability as a strategic axis of the Tourism Board, so the new website provides detailed and updated information on green spaces and beaches. It includes the address, opening hours, usage rules, recommendations, features, and much more. Furthermore, the website includes recommendations for tourists to reduce their environmental impact during their visit to our city.
The alicanteturismo.com website is available in seven languages, Spanish, Valencian, English, French, German, and the two newcomers: Chinese and Polish. These two additions respond, on the one hand, to the growth of Polish tourism in the city in recent years, already ranking sixth as an emitter. Regarding Chinese, being the most spoken language in the world and a tourism market «we are going to enhance,» Poquet revealed.
The Alicante City&Beach Tourism Board’s website is a widely used tool by tourists, as indicated by the data. Last year, there was a 23% increase in traffic compared to the previous year, reaching 1.8 million users (1.5 million in 2023), and the forecast is to grow by 45% in 2025 over that figure, to 2.2 million users.
